How green is your leather?

Just some thoughts on the PC wave. Is leather green? It can be if you like that particular color. But is it G R E E N, as in environmentally correct? Duh!! It has been a renewable resource for some thousands of years. There are some hieroglyphics from ancient Egypt the show them tanning leather. And of course biblical Adam and Eve were the first to use hides for clothing. Leather is a bi-product of the meat industry and is as natural as things can get. No sense trying to find some new fangled fabrics or the like, leather is the greenest thing around. It has a great history and is a very familiar product. So, in your research of products that would fit into an environmentally correct building room leather is a great choice.
